The Story
Instagram rolls out new functionality improvements.
Show Me The Way
Speaking of holiday shopping — Instagram isn’t going to let this e-commerce opportunity pass them by. The photo-app-turned-IGC-machine announced three new guides designed to help brands refine their marketing plans ahead of the upcoming shopping season. With lots of changes happening to the app at any given moment, brands can use these guides to catch up and strategize the best ways to target consumers.
Sneaky Links
Even in the face of creators and users reacting negatively to Instagram’s copycat practices, Meta’s youngest is continuing to roll out feature after feature. Some creators can now add more than one link to their bios, which is a big help to more easily manage sponsorships that include “link in bio” mentions.
Additionally, the ‘gram has confirmed that video Stories less than a minute long will no longer be split. But will users rejoice?
STC POV
Despite mixed reactions to Instagram’s rapid upgrades, we have to admit that the app does try to keep all of its users’ interests at heart — even if it doesn’t always pass the vibe check. We’re eager to see how Instagram prioritizes not just creator content, but feedback from consumers — and then perhaps, we can all coexist happily ever Insta.
